Africa AI Ledger is a publication dedicated to tracking the development of artificial intelligence across all 54 African countries — the funding, the policy, the infrastructure, the research, and the institutions shaping it.

We cover startups and funding, government and policy, the presence of major technology companies, academic and applied research, AI infrastructure, enterprise adoption, and education and skills development across the continent.

Africa AI Ledger is currently in its foundational phase. Editorial and ingestion processes are being built out incrementally, with a focus on accuracy, sourcing, and auditability.
