Angola Cables Launches 'Go4AI' Platform to Expand AI-Ready Connectivity

Angola Cables launched its "Go4AI" platform on June 17, 2026, aimed at expanding AI-ready network connectivity and computing access across Angola and the wider Southern African region.

The platform is designed to provide businesses and institutions with lower-latency, higher-capacity connectivity suited to AI workloads, building on Angola Cables' existing submarine and terrestrial fibre infrastructure, including its role in South Atlantic connectivity routes linking Africa, South America and Europe.

### Angola as a connectivity hub

Angola Cables has increasingly marketed itself as a regional connectivity gateway rather than a purely domestic telecommunications operator, and the Go4AI launch extends that strategy into the AI infrastructure space specifically. The company said the platform would offer businesses direct access to AI-optimised network paths without requiring investment in dedicated infrastructure of their own.

The launch came in the same month as a UNESCO-backed readiness assessment found Angola highly prepared on ethical AI governance criteria, adding connectivity infrastructure to a broader set of 2026 developments strengthening the country's AI ecosystem.
