ChipMango Raises $1.9 Million Seed Round to Expand Chip-Design Talent Across Africa

ChipMango, a semiconductor engineering startup, has raised $1.9 million in a seed round led by Atlantica Ventures to expand its engineering operations and workforce development platform across Africa, Europe and the United States.

The Round

The round was led by Atlantica Ventures, with participation from DFS, Kaleo Ventures, Madica, Trilinear Technologies, Malta Ventures and other strategic investors. ChipMango was founded in 2022 by Ola Fadiran and Jovan Andjelich, and is headquartered in California with major engineering and design centres in Lagos, Nigeria.

Expansion Plans

ChipMango plans to use the new capital to expand its engineering and product teams, scale its AI-native learning and workforce development platform, and grow operations across Africa, Europe and the United States. The company intends to establish a European design centre in Malta and develop semiconductor capability and workforce initiatives in Kigali, Rwanda.
