Ghana's National Commission for Civic Education has warned that misinformation, disinformation, hate speech and deepfakes threaten the country's democratic stability and social cohesion, with NCCE Chairperson Kathleen Addy saying convincing but fabricated images, videos and audio recordings mean citizens can no longer rely solely on what they see or hear as evidence.
