Cape Town-based AI infrastructure startup Verascient has raised $1.2 million (R19.5 million) in an oversubscribed pre-seed round led by Founder Collective, with participation from Andrena Ventures, Cambridge Enterprise and Summit Ventures, to build infrastructure that gives AI agents access to an organisation's accumulated knowledge.
