Egypt's National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) and Cisco Systems have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to train 3,000 internationally certified technology instructors under the Cisco Networking Academy programme in support of Egypt's national AI strategy.
Partnership Details
The agreement was signed on September 1, 2026, in Cairo between Egypt's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, through the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), and Cisco Systems. Under the memorandum of understanding, Cisco will train 1,000 university faculty members and independent lecturers each year for three years. The 3,000 instructors will be trained as internationally certified trainers under the Cisco Networking Academy programme.
Training Coverage
The training will cover data networks, cybersecurity, operating systems and artificial intelligence.
Why it matters
The partnership aims to strengthen Egypt's digital workforce development by building a pool of accredited trainers capable of delivering internationally recognized technology certifications.
