Niger Hosts Third Edition of AI and Geospatial Technologies Week in Niamey
SIATeG, Niger's Artificial Intelligence and Geospatial Technologies Week, returned to Niamey for its third edition, led by the national digital agency ANSI in partnership with GeoMinds Africa.

The Semaine de l'Intelligence Artificielle et des Technologies Géospatiales (SIATeG), Niger's Artificial Intelligence and Geospatial Technologies Week, opened in Niamey for its third edition on July 23, 2026, running through July 24.
The event was organized at the initiative of Niger's Agence Nationale pour la Société de l'Information (ANSI) in partnership with GeoMinds Africa, alongside involvement from the Ministry of Communication and ESCEP, and was designed to build the country's geospatial and AI skills base.
SIATeG 2026 focused on practical applications of AI and geospatial technology relevant to Niger's development priorities, continuing a programme that has run for three consecutive editions and making Niamey a recurring regional venue for AI-geospatial skills-building in the Sahel.
The event reflects ANSI's broader mandate as the agency behind Niger's Niger 2.0 national digital strategy, with SIATeG serving as one of its flagship recurring capacity-building programmes.
