The Government of Rwanda has signed an expansion agreement with Zipline, backed by $150 million in pay-for-performance funding from the US Department of State, to become the first country in the world with full nationwide autonomous drone logistics coverage.

The Government of Rwanda has signed an expansion agreement with Zipline, backed by $150 million in pay-for-performance funding from the US Department of State, to become the first country in the world with full nationwide autonomous drone logistics coverage.
The expansion adds a new long-range distribution centre in Karongi District and Zipline's first overseas AI and robotics testing facility, extending coverage to more than 11 million people.
