Redeemer's Health Village, RoboMed Global and Nisa Premier Hospital completed West Africa's first tele-robotic surgery. A surgeon in Lagos controlled a robotic system in Abuja to remove a cancerous tumour and kidney, while the partners announced plans to train at least 150 surgeons, nurses and biomedical engineers.
